DOOMSDAY PREPPERS

278

(Friday Church News Notes, February 15, 2013, http://www.wayoflife.org, fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) – Doomsday Preppers, a television show on the National Geographic Channel that began airing in 2012, depicts the real-life stories of people who are preparing for a socio-economic cataclysm. The number of people who fall into this category is increasing, and the program is the highest-rated one in the network’s history. There is an American Preppers Network, and the building and stocking of survival shelters is a growing industry. Vivos is planning a nationwide system of underground shelters in various sizes built to support from 10 to 2,000 adults for one to five years. The shelters are co-opts which are owned by a group of people who are promised access in case of emergency. (Good luck on that!) Developer Larry Hall is constructing survivalist condos in abandoned missile silos in Kansas, and so far buyers have paid $7 million.

Atlas Survival Shelters, designed to be buried 3.5 feet underground, are available for $10,000 per person. At BePrepared.com you can buy everything you need for survival, including a year’s supply of MRE (meals ready to eat) for $4,200. At Safer America stores you can stock up on gas masks and biohazard suits. There is no doubt that we live in troublesome times as describe in Bible prophecy. The same Book that prophesied of Christ’s first coming, including the details of His crucifixion, prophesy of His second coming. It will be preceded by a period of time that Jesus called the Great Tribulation, a time far more destructive than any the world has ever witnessed, but it cannot be survived in an underground shelter.

The Bible says the Antichrist will rule for seven years with conditions growing progressively worse, longer than any shelter stockpile will last. No one will be able to buy or sell without his mark. The Antichrist is no ordinary man. He will be supported by Satan and his hoards of demons. A far better solution is to put one’s faith in Jesus Christ and be washed in His blood and serve in His great harvest field while you wait for the imminent Rapture. It’s not time to hide in a hole; it’s time to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth. The reason why Christ has not yet returned is His love for souls (2 Peter 3:9). The Rapture of New Testament believers is not a fictional scenario; it is the promise of a God who cannot lie. “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief”

(1 Thessalonians 5:4).

Welcome brothers and sisters to a special addition of End Time News Daily Update Report for December 20-21, 2012 brought to you by IPREACH4CHRIST On The Rapture is Imminent End Time News Channel.
1. Doomsday, The End Of The World, You Still Here? The much-anticipated date for the end of the world is finally upon us, as predicted by the Mayans, and we’ve got the latest updates on how the globe is dealing with ‘Armageddon.’
2. It’s not the end of the world, but Mayan madness is heating up. The Maya built a 3,000-year civilization in what is presently central Mexico.
3. Tourists are flocking to the Mayan sacred site in the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico on the eve of the supposed end of the world — the end of the Mayan calendar.
4. Here’s part of the Mayan calendar that supposedly runs out on 12/21/12. Experts say don’t believe it.
MORE:http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/mayan-madness-heating-article-1.1224557
5. Just some of the craziness. A Dutchman has prepared a lifeboat in his garden in the central Netherlands. The boat is capable of saving 50 people during floods brought on by the Mayan-foretold doomsday. He bought the totally enclosed lifeboat and installed a toilet, a sink and a child’s car seat inside. Some 35 people have reserved seats in the boat.
6.  Ah a sense of humor! Can you imagine seeing the Weather Channel doing that!
7.  A Chinese villager has created giant, reportedly tsunami-proof survival pods, made using a fiberglass casing over a steel frame. The cost is $48,000 each, and the pods are equipped with oxygen tanks, food and water supplies. They also come with seat belts, which is essential for riding out storms. 8. And Superstitious Russians take to Cold War bunker for Mayan end of the world. The bunker, in southwestern Moscow, was built in the 1940s by order of Joseph Stalin and was outfitted about two decades later to endure nuclear war. In one compartment of the bunker, guests will have the option to attend a “survival event,” at which more than 300 people will be given water and “special food packages,” including catered food and enough canned goods to last six months. Tickets for the survival event run 30,000 rubles about $1000 each. MORE:http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/superstitious-russians-cold-war-bunkers-mayan-apocalypse-article-1.1223861
9. Even the President of Russia is getting in a few words about Doomsday. As frenzied doomsayers around the world prepare for the apocalypse on December, 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin put his trust in science, saying at a yearly Q&A that the earth won’t end for another 4.5 billion years, when the sun goes out.

Giant filament explosion erupts on the Sun: massive CME to glance Earth’s magnetic field – Earth dodges dangerous bullet

September 2, 2012 – SPACE – Chance of flares: Sunspot AR1560 has more than quadrupled in size since August 30th, and now the fast growing active region is directly facing our planet: movie. NOAA forecasters estimate a 40% chance of M-class solar fares during the next 48 hours. A filament of magnetism curling around the sun’s southeastern limb erupted on August 31st, producing a coronal mass ejection (CME), a C8-class solar flare, and one of the most beautiful movies ever recorded by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory: The explosion hurled a CME away from the sun traveling faster than 500 km/s (1.1 million mph). The cloud, shown here, is not heading directly toward Earth, but it could deliver a glancing blow to our planet’s magnetic field on or about September 3rd. This date is preliminary and may be changed in response to more data from coronagraphs on the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO).  – Space Weather

Giant warehouses with food to last for 5 years: Alaska begins prepping for major natural disasters

August 29, 2012 – ALASKA – Alaska is known for pioneering, self-reliant residents who are accustomed to remote locations and harsh weather. Despite that, Gov. Sean Parnell worries a major earthquake or volcanic eruption could leave the state’s 720,000 residents stranded and cut off from food and supply lines. His answer: Build giant warehouses full of emergency food and supplies, just in case. Weather isn’t the only thing that can wreak havoc in Alaska, where small planes are a preferred mode of transportation and the drive from Seattle to Juneau requires a ferry ride and 38 hours in a car. The state’s worst natural disaster was in 1964, when a magnitude-9.2 earthquake and resulting tsunami killed 131 people and disrupted electrical systems, water mains and communication lines in Anchorage and other cities. “We have a different motivation to do this, because help is a long ways away,” said John Madden, Alaska’s emergency management director. The state plans two food stockpiles in or near Fairbanks and Anchorage, two cities that also have military bases. Construction on the two storage facilities will begin this fall, and the first food deliveries are targeted for December. The goal is to have enough food to feed 40,000 people for up to a week, including three days of ready-to-eat meals and four days of bulk food that can be prepared and cooked for large groups. To put that number into perspective, Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage, has about 295,000 people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, and Juneau, its third largest, about 31,000. It’s not unusual for states that routinely experience hurricanes or other large-scale disasters to have supplies like water, ready-to-eat meals, cots and blankets. But Alaska is interested in stocking food with at least a five-year shelf life that meets the nutrition, health and cultural requirements of the state’s unique demographics. That means, as part of the effort, trying to incorporate cultural foods like salmon for Alaska Natives as well as foods that would be more common in urban areas, state emergency management spokesman Jeremy Zidek said. An estimated 90 percent of commodities entering Alaska are delivered through the Port of Anchorage. Air service is also a critical link to the outside world and generally the only way to reach many rural communities. A volcanic blast emitting a large amount of smoke and ash could disrupt supply lines by air and water for an extended period, Madden said, and an earthquake could knock out airport runways or ports. Those are just some of the disasters that might require emergency supplies. –Business Week

Warning: Solar Proton Event Could Fry Earth

Tight-lipped heliologists are studying the sun more intently than they ever have―as if their lives depended on it. And well it may. In fact, everyone’s lives may depend on just what the sun does during the last part of the current solar cycle, a cycle that NASA and the ESA spent the past 5 years warning governments and the people of Earth to prepare for in advance. Few heeded their warnings. Now some solar scientists, studying the history of solar proton event (SPE) mass extinctions see a pattern emerging that leads them to wonder if another such event is building. Most try hard not to think about it too much, although it may be haunting them in tortured dreams.

When the sun killed

As Dr. Paul LaViolette sifted through the data he discovered incredible evidence that a horrific event occurred almost 13,000 years in the past, a period that encompasses the Rancholabrean termination.

Brilliant scientist Dr. Paul LaViolette discovered SPE horror

The sun erupted in a series of super-charged solar proton events that blasted away the Earth’s protective magnetosphere, ionosphere and utterly destroyed the geomagnetic field.

Over a period stretching from decades to centuries, the sun pounded a defenseless Earth again and again with deadly radiation across the spectrum. The solar kill shots centered on North and South America, Siberia and parts of Europe.

Accepted theories now in question

Near the end of the last major Ice Age, known as the Younger Dryas Period, many species of mammals abruptly disappeared. The sudden extinction puzzled scientists for years, and some paleontologists studying the mass extinction event called it the greatest extinction since the death of the dinosaur species.

Although virtually all large mammals were affected, many smaller species—including certain birds—were also decimated.

Over the years theorists have proposed the shocking extinction had its roots in massive meteoric and cometary impacts, or overhunting by paleolithic Man. Yet every theory falls short of a full explanation and each has its flaws.

SPEs and life on Earth

As LaViolette dug deeper more disturbing data emerged: evidence of intense solar activity matching the 200-year de Vries solar cycle period. As Space Daily observes, “This was the smoking gun that indicated that these spurts very likely had a solar cause.” And those “spurts” killed off many species on Earth.

When the sun kills proton streams erupt from photosphere

By analyzing the history of radiocarbon increases, LaViolette determined at least two major and two minor SPEs occurred. Each of these killed life—or mutated it—predominantly in the Northern Hemisphere and mostly in North America.

“Extrapolating upward from that event,” Space Daily notes, “LaViolette estimates that the 12,837 years BP extinction level SPE would have delivered over a two day period a radiation dose of from 3 to more than 6 Sieverts, lethal dose (LD-100) for most mammals being in the range of 3 to 8 Sieverts.

Sun blasting geomagnetic field [Image: NASA]

“The upper range of his estimate is a very conservative projection based on the assumption that the SPE would have been strong enough to overpower the Earth’s protective magnetic field sheath allowing the full intensity of the solar cosmic ray barrage to directly contact the Earth’s atmosphere and induce an intense shower of cosmic ray secondaries.”

Such an intense radioactive blast could very well be the cause behind the total extinction of many types of birds and smaller mammals and even account for the virtual disappearance of all Pleistocene megafauna.

Interstellar cloud invaded the solar system

“He attributes this elevated solar activity to the presence in the solar system of high concentrations of interstellar dust which at that time were being driven inward by a wind of galactic cosmic rays.”

Map of recent global solar proton events

Determined, LaViolette continued digging and found physical evidence that the polar regions completely lost their protective ozone layers and were drenched with cosmic rays and intense ultraviolet radiation for at least several years. Much of that spread downwards to the lower latitudes.

The days the sun ‘burned the Earth

As the proton events built in intensity the climate warmed significantly, super wildfires broke out across North America, and whole regions were destroyed in massive conflagrations.

Meanwhile, hard radiation mercilessley blanketed the upper latitudes on and off over several thousand years resulting in “multiple extinction level episodes.”

If the Northern Hemisphere became such a killing field, how did ancient Man survive it?

The answer lies in LaViolette’s incredible book, Earth Under Fire.

The scientist’s book documents many ancient legends and myths related to the era of the last Ice Age.

LaViolette’s book shares the legends of the SPEs

The misty legends, almost lost in time, describe how the sun once burned the Earth or touched the Earth, and the ancient stories relate how many animals died or turned into strange monsters, and how gigantic fires erupted in the forest lands.

Other legends tell of many humans seeking shelter inside caves or underground when the sun “burst forth in anger.”

Now the danger of an SPE may be rising again—and very soon.

The space cloud, the core, and the shrinking sun

Certain markers may signal the approach of a devastating SPE:

1. An interstellar cloud entering the solar system;

2. Disruptions and anomalies in the geomagnetic field;

3. Indications that the Earth’s core is mutating, also affecting the geomagnetic field;

4. Permutations of the polar ozone layers;

5. Solar activity reaching a peak at the end of its 200-year cycle;

6. A measurable uptick of SPE events and indications of intensifying proton streams;

7. The sun about to enter a period when the solar sphere shrinks.

All seven of the indicators are now being met.

strange energy cloud entered the solar system several years ago mystifying NASA and astrophysicists. [Claim: NASA Hiding Approaching Doomsday Space Event]

Disruptions in the geomagnetic field have been ongoing for more than a decade and a half.

Some geologists believe Earth’s core is mutating. [Earth's core spinning out of control]

The ozone layers are depleting.

Solar activity is approaching its peak, so much so that NASA and the ESA are warning about a possible devastating loss of technology.

Measurements of the proton stream have revealed upticks.

The sun is expected to shrink more when it enters the Maunder Miniumum after 2013.

If a killer SPE occurs the only protection from it is the one that early Man took: go underground and stay there.

Is this the reason the world’s major countries have been building massive underground cities beneath the earth and inside mountains for almost 50 years?

Surviving The Coming Mass Extinction

Posted by

Terrence Aym

Conspiracy theorists move aside, some of the world’s top scientists are taking center stage with claims the remainder of the 21st Century will be a time of unprecedented catastrophes. In less than 40 years the population will swell past 9 billion, water wars will erupt, consumption will soar, and a cooling planet will reduce food productionand strain energy resources. Mass migration could take place from the Northern to Southern Hemisphere, and aFukushima radiation cloud could poison billions north of the Equator. Read what some of the world’s greatest minds predict will unfold during the coming decades. And then study the advice on how to survive it all…

Scientists are predicting another mass extinction

Cosmic catastrophes…Earth changes…deadly pandemics, nuclear war or meltdowns…mass extinctions. Every day people wake expecting the sun to rise like it did the day before and the day before that…until the day the volcano erupts, the megathrust earthquake strikes, or the flood waters rise.

Human lifespans are short compared to geological time, so Man’s shortsightedness when it comes to epochal and transitory events may be forgiven—by Man. But nature is blind and very unforgiving. And the history of the world is darkened with episode after episode of mass extinctions on a planetary scale.

Now scientists are predicting another mass extinction, one that most of humanity may not survive. The Singularitists, survivalists, preppers—even a few nation’s militaries and political institutions—have been preparing for the approaching mass extinction for decades. Smart money is betting the extinction has already begun and will continue to accelerate through the remainder of this century and into the next.

What are the dangers? How could Mankind slip into extinction?

And most important of all: how can you protect yourself and your family from the possibility of mass death?

Checklist of self-inflicted death and destruction

Many of the world’s great theorists, futurists and climate-biological experts are jumping on the extinction bandwagon. Are they all delusional or politically motived by some shadowy New World Order? Probably not.

A disturbing timeline of world-killing paradigm shifts has been compiled by striketheroot.com. The timeline, outlined by Glen Allport, includes many mushrooming trends and variables that, unchecked, likely will lead to extinctions, even mass extinction. The irony is that while many are fearful of supervolcano eruptions, gigantic asteroids smashing into Earth, or intense solar flar ‘killshots’ that sterilize the planet, the most likely mass extinction event would be self-inflicted.

What is most alarming is the fact that there is not just one trend, but many trends.

Allport’s checklist of death and destruction seems to lead inexorably toward what some scientists are calling the Sixth Great Extinction. Some of the tipping points toward the slide into oblivion include:

1. Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and nanotech projects

An increasing number of studies, and intensifying research, are exposing the horrific truth of genetically manipulting the world’s basic food supply. The GM food business promises trillions of dollars in future profit and the ability to patent whole classes of bio-consumables—that is if the human race is still around after consuming biologically altered and “improved” grains, vegetables and fruits.

Some independent studies have discovered GM foods are linked to “…high rates of infertility, miscarriage, and birth defects in animals exposed to certain GMO foods that millions of humans are now consuming.”

Nanotech, applied to self-replicating organisms and machines, also lays the foundation for the future demise of the human race.

Bill Joy is quoted by Allport about this emerging technology and the quotation is beyond frightening. Joy, is the cofounder of Sun Microsystems and worked for years as the company’s chief scientist. Author of the article that thrust fear into the hearts of some technologists, Why the Future Doesn’t Need Us (Wired Magazine, April 2000), Joy unemotionally spelled out in vivid detail how the direction of modern technology is heading for a catastrophic conclusion—and humans will feel the brunt of it.

Quote: “Thus we have the possibility not just of weapons of mass destruction but of knowledge-enabled mass destruction (KMD), this destructiveness hugely amplified by the power of self-replication.

“I think it is no exaggeration to say we are on the cusp of the further perfection of extreme evil, an evil whose possibility spreads well beyond that which weapons of mass destruction bequeathed to the nation-states, on to a surprising and terrible empowerment of extreme individuals.”

2. Radioactive Armegeddon

The Three Mile Island nuclear emergency was a not-too-gentle nudge. Overall, people ignored it.

Ukraine’s Chernobyl disaster was the world’s wake-up call. But collectively the people rolled over and went back to sleep.

Then the 9.0 earthquake and tsunami slammed into the Tokyo Electric Power Comaony (TEPCO) reactors in Fukushima during March 2011. The damage, which many experts claim caused a partial or total meltdown of at least two of the four reactor cores, is gradually poisoning all of Japan and the surrounding Pacific.

A dead Japan and dying Northern Hemisphere?

Some nuclear experts are extremely concerned that if TEPCO reactor #4 loses total containment eventually most of the world will be radioactively poisoned.

Recently evidence came to light that the hydrogen explosion at the TEPCO power plant blew a huge quantity of deadly radioactive particles into the atmosphere at supersonic speed.

Brad Jacobson has given an excellent summation of the dangers TEPCO’s reactors still present to a mostly unwary world and “Why Nuclear Experts Are Calling Fukushima a Ticking Time-Bomb.”

3. Climate change: massive Ice Age kills billions

While the last several decades have seen the Western political structure gearing up to combat long-term anthropogenic global warming, the smartest climate experts are warning that the next real climate changewill be an Ice Age. A growing number expect it to begin after the sun enters the Maunder Minimum—a period of extended, significant cooling that NASA and other space agencies predict will last between 30 to 50 years. That cooling begins after 2013.

Where the Ice Age supporters disagree is how long the period of cooling will last. Some say 50 to 100 years. Others predict a so-called Little Ice Age will trigger a prolonged 100,000 year Ice Age.

The scientists that think the cooling the Northern Hemisphere will experience may last up to 100,000 years base their belief on the fact that the climate cycle on Earth has been predominantly an Ice Age the last several million years with periods of warming that last roughly 11,500 years. That warming period is known as the interglatial period—the relatively short warm-up between Ice Ages.

Now, many are beginning to suspect that the current interglatial period has reached its end.

If true, very hard times are ahead for the human race: whole regions will become unlivable, massive crop failures and famines, mass migrations farther south, extreme social unrest and a likely string of devastating wars. Upwards of several billion people could perish. And while that’s not exactly a mass extinction, the collapse of modern civilization could occur.

Climate researcher Robert Felix is at the forefront of the Ice Age science. He has been fighting against the idea of man-made global warming for decades. He argues in his book, Not By Fire, But By Ice that increasing precipitation, not CO₂, is what drives climate change. And the biggest climate factor of all is the sun.

Other experts raise other warning flags.

Sir John Sulston warns of dwindling resources

Nobel prize-winning biologist Sir John Sulston of the oyal Society in England is warning that unless the world population stabilizes and consumption is cut Mankind faces ultimate extinction.

Water experts and environmentalists warn that the world is fast approaching a potable water shortage. The crisis, they claim, is of such magnitude that civilization could collapse after a series of devastating wars, the survivors fall into barbarism, and the collapse into primitivism followed by the final die-off of the vestiges of humanity.

In essence, the remainder of the 21st Century may be a time of trials and tribulations, resulting in ongoing misery for the masses, culminating in the final demise of Man.

During a mass extinction virtually everyone will die

What can you do to protect yourself and your family?

Certain basic steps for surviving disasters can be easily found on the Internet. Many of the large prepper sites contain valid, well thought out information, checklists and guidelines for dealing with and meeting various disasters such as pandemics, the loss of the electrical grid, widespread civil unrest, currency collapse, governmental collapse, and more prosaic catastrophes like floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes.

Few, if any, of the prepper and survivalist sites deal with such issues as a mass extinction caused by an accelerating hemispheric Ice Age, global nuclear poisoning or protection from the rapidly encroaching, worldwide threat of GM food.

Specific action plans must be created to deal with those categories of threats. Mass extinction of the human race may be avoided if enough people are prepared to deal with it in the event that one or more of the catastrophic scenarios comes to fruition.

If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, consider acquiring some second property south of the Equator. Geologically and politically stable countries are preferred. If you don’t already have hard assets (precious metals such as gold and silver) consider acquiring and stockpiling them. In the short-term stocking extra food, water, and emergency survivalist supplies is helpful.

Create a family plan so everyone knows where to go and what to do if an emergency or catastrophe strikes.

If the Fukushima worst case scenario unfolds, much of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres couold become death zones and whole regions devolve into Mad Max bands of roaming, foraging thugs. Many would die of starvation, radioactive exposure and tainted food.

Experts suggest the safest place on Earth (prevailing winds that carry radioactive particles are blocked by almost impassable mountain ranges and the ocean currents are influenced by Antarctic waters far to the south), are areas of the Patagonia region in and around the countryside of Western Argentina. Every other area of the planet will eventually become contiminated to some degree.

An Ice Age’s effects would be felt more slowly—over a period of decades or more. There’s more time to prepare for it.

Living deep underground [Image credit: Jerry Taylor]

Recently, io9.com asked some experts how to survive cosmic catastrophes and mass extinctions. Most experts advised going underground. That’s something governments like the U.S., Russia, and China have been doing for decades.

Learning from the Nazi’s engineering of underground factories and cities, the world’s largest countries began building underground to create a defensible and survivable layer of government in the event the surface of the world becomes unlivable for periods of time.

Subterranean living is not feasible for very many people. While some have taken to living in former missile silos, or built homes deep inside hillsides, most cannot afford the expense.

Yale biologist Ellen Thomas, editor of Marine Micropaleontology, told io9.com that “Humans are predicted to have problems in a mass extinction. We’re too big.”

io9.com goes on to explain that “…all animals of more than about fifteen pounds went extinct after the cosmic event that ended the Cretacious and the reign of the dinosaurs. Top predators on land and sea usually died off first, because the animals and plants they ate also died out during the toxic cold that seems to accompany most mass extinctions.”

Yet, surviving a mass extinction event is doable, as most people will not be prepared for it, have no plan, and will rely on ineffective governments to save them.

Be forewarned, though, survival may not be a very pleasant experience.

The World as We Know It Is About to End, Say Some Really Frightened Scientists

The World as We Know It Is About to End, Say Some Really Frightened Scientists

Posted by

A new study by 22 biologists and ecologists has found thatenvironmental changes on our planet are reaching a point of no return that leads to mass extinctions and harms human welfare. The situation, said one scientist, “scares the hell out of me.” That would be James H. Brown, one of the authors of alarming paper published by Naturetalking to New York Times Green blogger Justin Gillis. Brown is not one of your everyday cranks predicting raptures and the end of days. He is a macroecologist at the University of New Mexico. And as The Atlantic‘s James Fallowswho pointed out this terrifying study to us, writes, this could be the most important news of 2012. How soon do these scientists expect the world as we know it to end? Gillis writes, “within a few human generations, if not sooner.” The most frightening thing is that this finding isn’t about what will come if we do not act, but that our effects on the planet’s environment —global warming, population growth, and overall resource extraction — means that we’ve already passed a ”tipping point.” This isn’t a plea for change. These are things scientists have been warning us about for decades.
